Our first day in France...

On the ferry...

It's a long way from Rickmansworth...

Arriving in Dieppe..

There were some huge floating balloons made of tyres stopping the boat crashing into the harbour...

Then we drove to Rouen

Where Papa found a second hand book market all along the riverside...

And then we had a beer in the sunshine...

And a good dinner!

On the ferry

We had to drive through the nose of the boat!

And then inside it was just like a big carpark...

Bye bye England!

Trip up the Shard with Daddy, Papa and Nana

Esther goes to the toilet 69 floors high!

Eating and drinking

Iced coffee, orange juice and a funny Mallorcan pastry...

We had chips in this bar where you can sit on a swing as you eat. 

Here's Daddy at a festival of beer. 

And here's a huge paella pan. It's a rice dish which they bring to your table in the pan they cooked it in. 

The cathedral

This is a huge cathedral in Palma. 

A man called Gaudi with very strange taste designed a funny mobile to hang at the front of the church...

Up a mountain...

On a train looking at some olive groves. 

It was a very old train...

Let's hope Daddy's got the map the right way up.

We had our lunch looking down on the town where we got off the train...

We saw orange trees...

And lemon trees...

And lots of bright red flowers...

First day in Palma

Our flat is in a very tiny side street next to an ancient church. Here's Daddy next to our window...

Every so often a horse comes past...

The buildings are beautiful. 

Here's one which is just a wall - they're rebuilding the inside...
